Part 2 deals with the rest of the Irak-Iran war, starting from early 1984, including the "War of the Cities" and the final strikes on Khark; the Libyan adventure in Chad and actions against Sudan from the 1980's, plus the little known Soviet usage of the type in the last stages of the intervention in Afghanistan as an escort jammer.

This article details the combat history of the Tu-22 "Blinder" bomber with the air forces of Iraq, Libya and USSR. Part 1 briefly describes the development of the Blinder, and continues with extensive data about its selection, introduction into service and early operations with the air forces of Libya - against Tanzania in 1979 - and Iraq - against the Kurdish insurgency in 1974-75 and against Iran from 1980 up to the end of 1983.

Part 2 will deal with the rest of the Irak-Iran war (War of the Cities, strikes on Khark), with the Libyan adventure in Chad in the 1980's and the little known Soviet usage of the type in the last stages of the intervention in Afghanistan.
